I’m Sao Kawano, the solo developer behind A Strain of Agony.
Coding has been my biggest passion since I was a kid. Three years ago I discovered Unreal Engine and instantly fell in love. That’s when I started my dream project: a VR RPG which is meant to be immersive with a beautiful world.
Since then I’ve been learning in the most exciting way possible — every new skill I pick up is immediately used to create gameplay mechanics or systems you can actually play or interact with.
That constant loop is what keeps me going every single day.
